༄༅། །བརྒྱུད་འདེབས་བསྡུས་པ་བཞུགས་སོ། །
A Concise Lineage Prayer1
from A Shower of Precious Blessings
ཆོས་སྐུའི་དབྱིངས་སུ་མངོན་པར་སངས་རྒྱས་ནས། །
chökü ying su ngönpar sangyé né
Fully awakened within the space of dharmakāya,
ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རབ་རྫོགས་མངོན་རྫོགས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཉིད། །
longchö rapdzok ngöndzok gyelpo nyi
you are enjoyment’s perfection, the fully-awakened king.
སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ་མཆོག་རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་ཚུལ། །
trülpé ku chok dorjé loppön tsül
You appear, the supreme nirmāṇakāya, in the form of the vajra master—
ཁྱབ་བདག་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
khyapdak dorjé sem la sölwa dep
to the all-pervasive Lord, Vajrasattva, I pray!
རྒྱ་གར་ཡུལ་དུ་དྷ་ན་སཾ་སྐྲྀ་ཏ། །
gyagar yüldu dhanasamkrita
In the land of India, you were Dhanasamskrita;
བོད་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་འབྲོག་མི་དཔལ་ཡེ་ཤེས། །
bö kyi yül du drok mi pel yeshé
in the land of Tibet, you were Drokmi Palkyi Yeshé;
ཞིང་འདིར་སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་བསྟན་པའི་སྲོག་འཛིན་པ། །
zhing dir drupgyü tenpé sokdzin pa
here in this land, you are the life force pillarof the teachings of the entire practice lineage—
བསྟན་འཛིན་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
tendzin trulpé ku la sölwa dep
nirmāṇakāya upholding the teachings, to you I pray!
དང་པོ་གསན་བསམ་སྒོམ་པས་ཐུགས་རྒྱུད་སྨིན། །
dangpo sen sam gompé tukgyü min
First you ripened your mind through study, reflection, and meditation.
བར་དུ་མཁས་བཙུན་བཟང་པོ་བསྟན་པའི་དཔལ། །
bardu khé tsün zangpo tenpé pel
Then you became the glory of the teachings—learned, disciplined, and kind.
མཐར་ནི་མཁྱེན་བརྩེས་འགྲོ་ཀུན་རྗེས་སུ་བཟུང་། །
tar ni khyentsé dro kün jesu zung
Finally, with your wisdom and love, you embraced all beings.
ཀརྨ་དགེ་ལེགས་ཉི་མར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
karma gelek nyimar sölwa dep
To Karma Gelek Nyima, I pray and bow!
མཁའ་སྤྱོད་ཟླ་གམ་འབར་བའི་གཞལ་ཡས་སུ། །
khachö dagam barwé zhelyé su
Within the blazing crescent palace in the celestial realms,
ཧེ་རུ་ཀཿདཔལ་རིགས་ལྔའི་ཚོམ་བུ་རུ། །
heruka pel rik ngé tsombu ru
the five glorious families of herukas abide,
མངོན་པར་སངས་རྒྱས་དྲིན་ཆེན་བླ་མ་རྗེ། །
ngönpar sangyé drinchen lama jé
and in their midst the fully awakened one, the gracious lord guru—
ཀུན་བཟང་ཀློང་ཡངས་རྩལ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
künzang long yang tsel la sölwa dep
Künzang Longyang Tsal, to you I pray!
ལུས་དང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་དགེ་རྩ་མཆོད་པར་འབུལ། །
lü dang longchö getsa chöpar bül
My body, my enjoyments, and the roots of all my virtue,I present as offerings to you.
དམ་ཚིག་ཉམས་ཆག་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བཤགས། །
damtsik nyamchak khyé kyi chen ngar shak
All damaged and broken samayas, I confess before you.
དེང་ནས་སྐྱེ་ཀུན་རྗེས་སུ་བཟུང་ནས་ཀྱང་། །
deng né kyé kün jesu zung né kyang
From this moment on, throughout all my lives,
འབྲལ་མེད་ཕྲིན་ལས་མ་ལུས་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །
drelmé trinlé malü druppar shok
may you embrace me, and may we never be parted.May all awakened activities be accomplished!
ཅེས་མཆོག་གྱུར་གླིང་པས་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པ་དགེ། །།
