༄༅། །སློབ་མས་བསྐུལ་བའི་གསོལ་འདེབས།
The Prayer Requested by the Disciples1
from A Shower of Precious Blessings
ཨེ་མ་ཧོཿ གདོད་མའི་མགོན་པོ་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་། །
emaho, dömé gönpo chöku küntuzang
How amazing! Primordial protector, dharmakāya Samantabhadra;
ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་སྐུ་རིགས་ལྔ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་བཅུ། །
longchö dzok ku rik nga yapyum chu
the five sambhogakāya families, the ten Lords and Ladies;
སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་དང་། །
tulku sangyé shakya tuppa dang
the nirmāṇakāya buddhas, Śākyamuni and all thousand and two teachers;
སྟོན་པ་སྟོང་རྩ་ཉེ་བའི་སྲས་ཆེན་སོགས། །
tönpa tong tsa nyewé sé chen sok
the close heart-son heirs and all such noble beings;
ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་དུས་གསུམ་བྱོན་པ་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཚོགས། །
chok chu dü sum jönpa gyelwé tsok
assembly of victorious ones of the ten directions and the three times—
བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
dewar shekpa nam la sölwa dep
to all the sugatas, I pray and bow!
བདག་དང་འགྲོ་དྲུག་འཁོར་བའི་གནས་ནས་དྲོངས། །
dak dang dro druk khorwé né né drong
Guide me and all beings, all six classes, out of samsara!
འཇིག་རྟེན་མིག་གྱུར་འཕགས་ཡུལ་སློབ་དཔོན་བརྒྱད་། །
jikten mik gyur pakyül loppön gyé
Eight teachers of the noble land, the eyes of the world;
གསང་ཆེན་སྟོན་གཙོ་གུ་རུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །
sang chen tön tso guru rinpoché
chief teacher of the great secret, Guru Rinpoché;
གསང་སྔགས་བཀའ་ཡི་བསྡུ་དཔོན་མཚོ་རྒྱལ་མ། །
sang ngak ka yi du pön tsogyelma
Lady Tsogyal, main compiler of the secret mantra teachings and
ཐུགས་བྱོན་མུ་ཏྲ་མངའ་བདག་ཡབ་སྲས་བཞི། །
tuk jön mu tra ngadak yapsé zhi
the guru’s heart-mudra consort; the monarch and his three sons;
རྗེ་འབངས་ཉེར་ལྔ་མཁས་དང་གྲུབ་པའི་གཙོ། །
jebang nyernga khé dang druppé tso
the twenty-five subjects, foremost scholars and siddhas—
བོད་ལ་དྲིན་ཅན་མཛད་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
bö la drinchen dzé la sölwa dep
to all who have shown such kindness to Tibet, I pray!
སྙིགས་མའི་བོད་འབངས་རྣམས་ལ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་གཟིགས། །
nyikmé bö bang nam la tukjé zik
Please look with compassion upon the Tibetan people, hapless beings of this degenerate age.
འཇིག་རྟེན་སྒྲོན་མེ་གཏེར་ཆེན་བརྒྱ་རྩའི་ཞབས། །
jikten drönmé terchen gya tsé zhap
Lamps of the world—the hundred and eight great tertöns;
རིས་མེད་འགྲོ་འདྲེན་གཏེར་ཕྲན་སྟོང་རྩ་གཉིས། །
rimé dro dren tertren tong tsa nyi
the thousand and two minor tertöns, unbiased guides of beings;
འབྲེལ་ཚད་དོན་ལྡན་ཡང་གཏེར་བྱེ་བའི་ཚོགས། །
dreltsé dönden yangter jewé tsok
and the millions of tertöns who find treasures anew, benefiting all whom they encounter;
ཆོས་བདག་བརྒྱུད་འཛིན་ཁྱད་པར་ད་ལྟའི་དུས། །
chödak gyü dzin khyepar daté dü
the Dharma lords and the lineage holders;
མཁས་བཙུན་ཕུལ་བྱུང་བསྟན་འགྲོའི་མིག་རྣམས་སུ། །
khé tsün püljung ten drö mik nam su
and in particular, all those in this present age who are perfectly learned and disciplined,
མཛེས་པར་གར་སྒྱུར་འཁྲུལ་མེད་གང་ཟག་མཆོག །
dzepar gar gyur trülmé gangzak chok
unmistaken and supreme, who with their entrancing dance
ཐེ་ཚོམ་གནས་མེད་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
tetsom nemé nam la sölwa dep
beautify the eyes of the doctrine and beings—
ཁྱད་པར་སྙིགས་མའི་བསྟན་འཛིན་པཎྜི་ཏ། །
khyepar nyikmé tendzin pandita
to all you noble ones who are beyond all doubt, I pray and bow!
ཆེ་མཆོག་འདུས་རྩལ་བྱང་སེམས་ཚད་མེད་ཅིང་། །
chemchok dü tsel jangsem tsemé ching
And especially, the pandit who upholds the doctrine in this dark age,
འགྲུ་རྗེའི་སྡོང་འཁྲུངས་མཛད་པ་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཀྱི། །
dru jé dong trung dzepa chunyi kyi
Chemchok Dütsal of immeasurable awakened mind,
འགྲོ་འདྲེན་མགོན་པོ་དཔལ་ལྡན་འགྱུར་མེད་ཅེས། །
dro dren gönpo pelden gyurmé ché
who took birth on the anthers of a lotus and displayed the twelve deeds,
བཀའ་དྲིན་ཅན་གྱི་བླ་མར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
kadrinchen gyi lamar sölwa dep
the guide and guardian of beings, ever-gracious guru Palden Gyurmé—to you, I pray and bow!
གཅིག་ཆོག་གྱུར་པར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་མཐུས། །
chikchok gyurpar sölwa tappé tü
Through the power of this prayer to you, all-encompassing embodiments,
ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་ཞི་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །
chi nang bar ché zhiwar chingyi lop
bless me that outer, inner, and secret obstacles are quelled!
དངོས་གྲུབ་རྣམ་གཉིས་ཐོབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །
ngödrup nam nyi toppar chingyi lop
Bless me that the two siddhis are attained!
རང་སེམས་སངས་རྒྱས་མངོན་སུམ་མཐོང་བ་དང་། །
rangsem sangyé ngönsum tongwa dang
Bless me that I may directly see my own mind as the buddha,
ནམ་ཞིག་སྐྱེ་འཆིའི་ཁ་ལོ་གར་བསྒྱུར་ཀྱང་། །
namzhik kyechi khalo gar gyur kyang
and that throughout all lifetimes, wherever birth and death lead me,
ཚེ་རབས་ཨོ་རྒྱན་པདྨས་རྗེས་འཛིན་ཤོག །
tserap orgyen pemé jedzin shok
I am accepted and embraced by Orgyen Pema, Lotus of Uḍḍiyāna!
I, Chokgyur Lingpa, wrote this at the request of several ordained and lay mantradharas and their consorts who practice the Guru and hold the lineage of the Vajrayāna of the Early Translations. Through this virtue, may all beings attain the state of the Lotus of Uḍḍiyāna!
