pema jungné zhap la sölwa dep

I supplicate at the feet of the Lotus-Born!

Great Abbot Śāntarakṣita

dzambüling du tenpé sok shing tsuk

You planted the life-tree of the doctrine in this world

and lit the lamp of Dharma in the Land of Snows.

ngurmik dzinpa shakyé sé chikpu

Bearer of the saffron robe, heart son of Śākyamuni—

Bodhisattva appearing as a Dharma King,

gangchen trö dir dülja malüpa

in this remote Land of Snows you tamed every being in need

natsok tap kyi dülwar dzepa yi

through a myriad of skillful means—

trisong deutsen zhap la sölwa dep

I supplicate at the feet of Trisong Deutsen!

This was arranged by Chokgyur Lingpa as a liturgy for the gathered assembly during the summer monastic retreat (Yarné) at the newly established place for the study and practice of the teachings. May it bring goodness!

A Short Prayer to The Great Lotsawa Vairocana

As Vairocana’s magical manifestation, you took birth in Tibet.

kawa dumé gyagar yül du jön

Enduring many hardships you journeyed to India.

pendrup dumé tuk chü bö du nam

You brought the wisdom essence of the learned and accomplished ones to Tibet,

and made the torch of Dharma shine like daylight.

Since you accomplished immortality, your bodily form remained for two hundred years,

li yi yül du yeshé ö lü drup

and in the land of Khotan you attained the light body of pristine awareness.
