༁ྃ༔ ཐུགས་ཆེན་པདྨ་གར་དབང་ལས་ཁོལ་དུ་ཕྱུང་བའི་སྨོན་ལམ༔

The Pema Garwang Aspiration

ཨེ་མ་ཧོ༔ ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཡེ་ནས་དག་པའི་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད༔

emaho༔ chöying yéné dakpé tongpanyi༔

Emaho!༔ Realm of reality, originally pure emptiness,༔

མ་འགགས་རང་རྩལ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་ཅིར་ཡང་སྣང་༔

magak rangtsel tukjé chiryang nang༔

whose unimpeded, compassionate energy arises in any way;༔

སྣང་སྟོང་ཟུང་འཇུག་ཤར་གྲོལ་བདེ་ཆེན་ཀློང་༔

nangtong zungjuk shardröl déchen long༔

unity of appearance and emptiness, spontaneous liberation, the expanse of great bliss;༔

མ་བཅོས་མཐའ་བྲལ་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དབྱིངས༔

machö tadrel nyampa nyi kyi ying༔

basic space of equality, uncontrived and free from extremes;༔

སྟོང་ཉིད་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཟུང་འཇུག་བདེན་པ་དང་༔

tongnyi nyingjé zungjuk denpa dang༔

unity of emptiness and compassion—through this truth༔

འོད་དཔག་མེད་པ་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་མགོན་གྱིས༔

öpakmépa chenrézik gön gyi༔

and the powerful truth of the excellent intentions and noble aspirations༔

ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་སྨོན་ལམ་བཟང་པོའི་བདེན་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས༔

tukyé mönlam zangpö dentop kyi༔

of protectors Amitabha and Avalokiteshvara,༔

མཐའ་ཡས་སེམས་ཅན་མ་ལུས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི༔

tayé semchen malü tamché kyi༔

may the two obscurations and the habits, all without exception–༔

སྒྲིབ་གཉིས་བག་ཆགས་མ་ལུས་ཀུན་བྱང་ནས༔

drip nyi bakchak malü kün jang né༔

those of each and every sentient being, in their infinite number–be purified;༔

བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་འབྲས་བུ་རྒྱུད་ལ་སྨིན༔

sönam yéshé drébu gyü la min༔

and thus may the fruit of merit and wisdom ripen within their mindstreams!༔

གནས་སྐབས་འཁྲུལ་པའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཀུན་བྲལ་ཞིང་༔

nékap trülpé dukngel kün drel zhing༔

For now, may they be completely free of the suffering of delusion,༔

བར་དོའི་གནས་ནས་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་དབང་གིས༔

bardö né né chenrézik wang gi༔

and, in the bardo state, may Avalokiteśvara dispel༔

མ་རིག་མུན་པ་བསལ་ནས་ལམ་སྣ་དྲོངས༔

marik münpa sel né lam na drong༔

the darkness of ignorance and guide them along the path!༔

བདེ་བ་ཅན་གྱི་ཞིང་དུ་འོད་དཔག་མེད༔

dewachen gyi zhing du öpakmé༔

May they be born in the pure realm of Sukhavatī༔

སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་དྲུང་དེར་སྐྱེས་ནས༔

chenrézik kyi zhap drung der kyé né༔

at the feet of Amitābha and Avalokiteśvara,༔

སྐད་ཅིག་དེ་ལ་སྒྲིབ་པ་ཀུན་ཟད་ནས༔

kéchik dé la dripa kün zé né༔

and in that very moment may all their obscurations be exhausted༔

ཡང་དག་དོན་གྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་མཐོང་བར་ཤོག༔

yangdak dön gyi yéshé tongwar shok༔

so that they perceive true primordial wisdom directly!༔

དེ་མཐོང་ཕྱིར་མི་ལྡོག་པའི་ས་ནོན་ནས༔

dé tong chir midokpé sa nön né༔

Upon this sight may they attain the irreversible state,༔

སྤྲུལ་པས་འགྲོ་བ་འདྲེན་པའི་དེད་དཔོན་གྱུར༔

trülpé drowa drenpé dépön gyur༔

and may their emanations become the guides of beings!༔

རྒྱལ་སྲས་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་པ་ལྟར༔

gyelsé chenrézik kyi khyenpa tar༔

Just as the bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara knows all,༔

བདག་གི་སྨོན་ལམ་འདི་དག་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག༔

dak gi mönlam di dak drupar shok༔

may these aspirations of mine be fulfilled!༔

ཞེས་པ་འདི་ནི་མཆོག་གླིང་གཏེར་མ་ཐུགས་ཆེན་པདྨ་གར་དབང་ལས་ཁོལ་དུ་ཕྱུང་བའོ།། །།
