Invitation and Homage to Tārā
ༀ། པོ་ཏ་ལ་ཡི་གནས་མཆོག་ནས། །
om, potala yi né chok né
Oṃ! From out of Potala, the supreme abode,
ཏཱཾ་ཡིག་ལྗང་ཁུ་ལས་འཁྲུངས་ཤིང༌། །
tam yik jangku lé trung shing
you were born from a green syllable ‘tāṃ.’
ཏཱཾ་ཡིག་འོད་ཀྱིས་འགྲོ་བ་སྒྲོལ། །
tam yik ökyi drowa dröl
With the light of ‘tāṃ,’ you liberate beings.
སྒྲོལ་མ་འཁོར་བཅས་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ། །
drölma khor ché shek su söl
Lady Tārā, with your entourage, please come here!
ལྷ་དང་ལྷ་མིན་ཅོད་པན་གྱིས། །
lha dang lhamin chöpen gyi
Humans and gods pay you homage,
ཞབས་ཀྱི་པད་མོ་ལ་བཏུད་ཅིང༌། །
zhap kyi pemo la tü ching
placing their heads at your lotus feet.
ཕོངས་པ་ཀུན་ལས་སྒྲོལ་མཛད་མ། །
pongpa kün lé dröl dzema
You liberate beings from all destitution—
སྒྲོལ་མ་ཡུམ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །
drölma yüm la chaktsel lo
Mother Tārā, to you I prostrate!
