May the dream-like profusion of deluded concepts—

gods and demons, self and other, good and bad, acceptance and rejection—

For as long as your visualization is not clear, recite phaṭ in different ways: slowly and quickly, gently and forcefully. Finally, rest within the state of the three gates of liberation and sustain your realization [as follows]:
nyen trö ritrö drimpé neljor ngé
I, a yogi wandering haunted grounds and lonely mountains,
dak lé zhen ché tsölmé nyingjé yi
with effortless compassion that cherishes others more than myself,

offer this heap of aggregates as nourishment to all beings,

represented by the denizens of this haunted place,

so that they may find temporary and ultimate happiness.

In the state wherein all things are equal,

there isn’t the slightest perception of good or bad, acceptance or rejection.

Like clouds in the sky or waves on water,

any emotions, concepts, feelings, or objects that arise,

The view free of acceptance and rejection, good and bad,

crushes the demons of hope and fear, of anger and desire.†

Wisdom shines vividly within the basic space of phenomena.

there is no fear of the fluctuations or agitations of existence and peace.

Within the space of the consort, boundless knowledge,

all concepts and dualistic grasping are freed into the nondual expanse—phaṭ!†
Saying that, rest evenly in the sky-like state that is free of concepts. Then, emerging from that, make this dedication within the state wherein everything is like an illusion:†

Through the power of this vast act of generosity

All those who were not liberated by the buddhas of the past,

through this act of generosity, may they be liberated!**

to be like a star, a visual distortion, a candle flame,

For the benefit of malicious gods, demons, and other beings of the three realms, I dedicate the roots of virtue from making an offering of my body, the roots of virtue from embracing gods and demons with the mind of awakening, as well as all the other roots of virtue that have been gathered in the three times. Through the power of this dedication, may all the evil deeds and obscurations of karma and the disturbing emotions present in the mindstreams of malicious gods, demons, and other beings of the three realms be purified, and may they perfect the six paramitas. Gaining the realization of the unborn mother, may they attain the state of the all-pervasive lord Vajradhara, father of all victorious ones and lord of all families. Attaining that state, may they carry out the benefit of beings through myriad awakened activities until samsara is emptied.

any negative thoughts that arise.

drön nam gagu dang ché yik druk ur diriri drokpar gyur
The guests joyfully proclaim the six-syllable mantra together in a low hum.

Your body is white in color, unstained by faults,
dzok sangyé kyi u la gyen
a jewel in the crown of perfect buddhas.

The body of the Great Compassionate One is self-liberated empty appearance.

With these words, the guests depart. Complete the practice by saying the following:

- ↑ This verse has been translated based on the oral instructions of Lama Tsültrim Sangpo. The first two lines of this are likely intended to convey a double meaning. Pha rgyud can be understood to refer to the “father tantras,” the class that includes Mahāyoga Tantras such as the Guhyagarbha Tantra and Guhyasamāja Tantra. Ma rgyud similarly refers to the category of “mother tantras”, the Yoginī Tantras such as the Cakraśamvara Tantra, Hevajra Tantra, and so forth. The class of nondual tantras typically refers to the Kālacakra Tantra. The first two lines can alternatively refer to the lineage of the Indian mahāsiddha Pha[dampa Sangyé] and his Tibetan disciple Ma[chik Labdrön], the founding figures of the chöd tradition in Tibet.
- ↑ Reading rang ngo as rang rig pa’i ngo bo.
- ↑ Em. tshor ba to tsho ba.
- ↑ Em. shugs to gshugs.
- ↑ According to Lama Tsültrim Sangpo, the subject of the second line is the principal deity Tröma Nakmo (Black Wrathful One) while the subjects of the third line are the host of ḍākinīs emanated from her heart.
- ↑ This instruction and the subsequent verses do not appear in the Tibetan text, but were added following the instructions of Lama Tsültrim Sangpo.
